My current desk setup is rapidly evolving into this comic: http://hijinksensue.com/2011/07/17/bask-in-its-warm-glowing-warming-glow/
I’ve been using my new AOC 16” USB monitor (it’s bus powered, pretty neat) since December. It was necessary as my Macbook Pro only accepts 1 external monitor and the Cintiq was taking up that spot. I used to have my Macbook Pro’s screen as my only secondary display, but I had to have it down on my desk to be visible and its footprint was too large to leave on my workspace all the time. After I got the AOC I moved it up on the shelf out of way and left it closed. About a week ago I just reached over to the lid and thought “Dare I?” Can I really wield 3 separate displays, or is that too much power for one man? Now I leave iTunes and Spotify running up top on the laptop, have Twitter, notes and reference images on the AOC and do my work on the Cintiq. I keep the iPad nearby (effectively a 4th screen) for Skype video chatting. I should really invest in a complicated system of articulating arms.
Is your desk setup more ridiculous than mine? Post a pic in the comments, or reblog with a link to yours.
